View Full Version : Turbografx 16 - how to open?

This TG16 has some odd screws at the bottom that, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get out. I'm sure there is some special tool, but I'm wondering if there is a "rigged" way of opening this thing up?

Special tool bit known as a gamebit - this I recommend.
High Speed power drill - this I DO NOT recommend.
sylentwulf sells the bits on ebay for a very reasonable buy it now price. Some great toolsets too.
You can also try MCM electronics, but their shipping is insane. The drill method would make it impossible to reassemble. Do not do it!
