I got this for $20 on eBay. I bought it because it looked kinda cool and my girlfriend is a HUGE Aerosmith fan. What's the deal with it? Anyone?

I don't really care what its worth, just whether anyone has seen or heard of it.

I will make sure to post pics and info when I receive it.

This thing sounds really familiar...I remember reading about it maybe 10 years ago...give or take a couple years.

I forgot all about it. Wish I had better info for ya than this stupid +1 post, but I think this came out back when Aerosmith was trying all sorts of ne entrepreneureal directions with different products.

I received the game & peripheral today. To the pictures:

This is the whole package. Everything is in great shape. I love what the Japanese consider junk store condition! :D

Flipped everything for the curious

Here is a closeup of the V-Pick. You tap it or strum on something to play.

Tennis Racket enhances the Air Guitar Experience. :rocker:

The game itself is actually pretty cool. Aerosmith almost makes up for Revolution X with this. It is like a proto-Guitar Freaks, only without the 3 buttons and with a horizontal playfield. Being that it was a PC title first, the game features a pointer used to select options and manipulate the backgrounds in the game. Stages are set up like a graphic adventure, with various ridiculous FMV & hand drawn characters who come and go. You basically choose a song and tap out the onscreen rhythm with the V-Pick. You can pick from multiple guitar tracks of the song to play with your input playing as a MIDI-ish guitar sound superimposed over the music. As another positive, since it was originally a US PC release, published by a US company, the game is voiced completely in English with Japanese subtitles, and all of the menu screens are also in English.

Definitely worth the $20. It has that early 90's PC/3DO feel to it with the FMV and stylings. I wonder if this was ever considered for US release?

As a final note, Joe, you really need to get this if you don't already have it, since you dig Guitar Freaks so much.
