Would anybody be interested in renting a huge ass 15 passenger van for the trip?
I know some of us hate flying, and others are irritated by the cost of flight....
So if anyone would be up for a carpool?
I'll check into rental costs later , unless someone has a van to volunteer.
A bus would not work, because those come with a driver. :S
We'd have to get this organised, to start the bus out east, and pick up people on the way.....
A general thought I had, would be to keep the van going as straight across as possible; if theres a few members whose residences are somewhere near the path, we could stop the bus at those members residences...get yourself to meet up points you know what I mean?
Interest?

Here's an idea:

CGE2005 Convoy a week before the event.

Start from the NYC/NJ/Philly area and go right across country.

Here's the route:

Those who are afraid to fly can travel with the DP gang on the road.

Everyone will be able to bring a lot more goodies to trade/sell.

Think about how much money that you *won't* be spending on airfare.

This is a great way to attend CGE without shelling out big bucks!

It will be a *once in a lifetime* opportunity!

Who knows, maybe we could have a CGE road trip *every* year!

Let's have a show of hands - who is interested???

(Side note) I have already reserved the rights for the:

*CGE2005 Road Trip - "Gamers Gone Wild" DVD*

It's a good idea as long as Kamino is not driving.

And instead spending on gas :P . It would be a lot of fun though, but WAY more time than I have... from Virginia to California would take at least 4 days (at a strenuous pace), I guess it could be done in 3 days at a grueling pace, but then someone might die of disease, or break an arm or something ;) . Plus you need to leave enough time to hunt for food, and stop at Independence to pick up some supplies :D .

Either way, I don't think I could be gone from work that long, and that would be a VERY long ride back, going back to reality after having a few days of fun :) .

shit man, 3 days? Nonstop would be under 2 ;) NO WAY would that journey take 48 hours.....unless I drove...which has been established to be a BAD plan.......;)
