I realized yesterday after doing the TRU deal, that I had 499 games. My first reaction was to make it official, so I went and bought Viewtiful Joe for Gamecube. That put me at a solid 500 games. This is a milestone for me, and I hope to get much, much higher.
There is one important thing I did realize though, it is not mearly about the numbers, but about the fun of hunting for the games. At one point, I was only concerned with numbers, and wanted to get a buttload of sports games. I ended up only getting 5 or 6, because I realized that I would never play them, and what is the fun of buying unsealed games if you are not going to even play them.
Like I said, I am not going to quit collecting anytime soon, so 500 is nothing compared to what it will be in the future. How many games I have through numbers are not all that important, but 500 is a pretty good milestone.
I honestly would have never gotten into collecting like I am if it had not been for the great folks here at dp and at G4. You may be asking yourself, why G4? I found out about dp from a random show that talked about dp for a few minutes.
This is a great community that I am honored to be a part of, and I hope to be around for years to come.
On that note (not to steal anybody's line, but)...
