wat is everyones favorite KoF game?

2002 was, competitvely speaking, the best one. Plus I could get win streaks with Athena, Whip, and Clark against the detroit players in it.
94 sucked total ass though. I want to see any argument that says that game was good. Any game where I can grab someone, toss em down, hop over, and regrab them before they get back up, AND KEEP DOING IT UNTIL THEY DIE, is pretty stupid. Plus there's that whole "one grab kill" thing Heidern has.
i liked 2001 alot, too. It wasn't the best KOF by any stretch, but it was fun.

King of Fighters '99, even though it owns my ass. K' is my favorite KOF character to use.
All of them before 2001 are good, but the early ones are just too hard for my mediocre skills. I'd say the "golden age" is from 97-2000.

Fav KOF 2000, it would be KOF 2003 but the damn system tries to think to hard on what directions your pressing and sometimes screws you over.

Mine would be 2002, followed by '98. They're both well balanced, but I like the roster of '02 a little better, even though '98 wins out in the graphics and sounds department (especially with that funky intro tune, heh).

Defenitely 98. It was the game that shipped with my Neo Geo CD and I tried all the others afterwards and liked that one the best of all. I was really happy when I found out it was on Dreamcast after I sold that horrible Neo Geo CD ;D.

My favorite: King of Fighters 2003. It used to be 2000 (and before that, 98), but 2003 really feels like the first time a HUGE facelift has been given to the series. The tag team feature, the return of several favorites (GO YAMAZAKI!), the smoother style and faster-paced battles... ooh, it's all so great! Each character was redesigned enough to make me find interest in them, so I set out to beat the game with all eleven teams! I'll have to get this on the PS2 soon... yummy.
My least favorite: Kof2001. The graphics = bleh, the sound = blargh, the feeling = too similar to KoF2000, and the final bosses = motherfuckers. I'm still having nightmares over Igniz... :eek 2:

2K3 is my sentimental fave as it was the first KoF that I bought. However, I really, really dig '98..I love the feel of the combos.
