Doom 3 reqirement question

I have been wanting Doom 3 but when I looked at the requirements it said that Windows XP is required. I am running ME and I need to know if it will work or not.

There are fixes that'll allow Doom 3 to work on Windows 98 / ME...but I would'nt reccomend them, as they are non-officaial hacks and not 100% Reliant.

Doom 3 also requires a P4. If you're running a P4, there's no reason to be running Windows ME. Actually, there's no reason for anyone to be running WIndows ME, but that's another story. :)

I'm running ME because my friend and I built my computer and we got ME for free. So other than ME I know I at least meet the requirements for Doom3. I know a different version will run on Xbox but I don't have an Xbox and I don't really want one.

Doom 3 oficially supports Windows 2000 and XP.
