I was wondering whether it is possible to somehow combine the audio signal from an Xbox Live headset with the headphone signal from your amp. I like playing with my headphones on much better than using the stereo in my game room, especially since I'm discouraged from turning things up too loud.

Maybe this wouldn't work, and is thus a silly question, but can't you set the voice audio to come through the TV speakers, i.e. the headphones? Then you could just mangle a cheap headset and make it a mic-only sort of thing.

I'm pretty sure that would work, the only problem is that speech coming through the tv channels tends to be a bit muted, especially when you've got a lot of things going on around you.

True. When I play Outrun 2, it's mostly just "buzz buzz buzz buzz ha ha ha buzz buzz."
