Here is a quickie I did on the piano of some videogame tunes. I'm not usually to accustom to recording the music I play (it makes me nervous), but someone had requested a sample so I made this for them. I also thought that I would post it here, since it is a videogame medley...featuring Terra's Theme (FF6), Shadow's Theme (FF6), and Airship (super mario bros 3 ). Hopefully this doesn't suck too much!

I dont know if there a website or anything, but I think you have to find them yourself. I've done alot of covers for NES songs, and I just had to listen to them alot and remember the tones :)

In regards to the music I was playing. Terra's theme, the melody had been taken from a FF6 piano book I have...however, I felt that the bass needed some work so I made a lot of that up myself.
I can't remember where I got Shadow's Theme or the Mario theme...I think I just took a midi and learned from that.
Sometimes I just try to do a simple melody by ear too, but that is not nearly as good as it could be, for me, since I am still learning to train my ear in that way. However, it does make for some pretty cool compositions...throwing in a bit of Final Fantasyish music or whatever.

Bravo!
The only tunes are can play are very tentative pieces. I can play parts of the Prologue from Final Fantasy, and the main theme from Zelda, and part of the theme from SUper Mario Bros.
Anyway, I love this kind of thing. Keep it up!

I remember a few months back someone else had posted their videogame piano work on here.
Maybe Digital Press should start an archive of videogame tunes music performed by his messageboard folks. That might be a neat idea.
