Can any of you contraption geniuses make an all in one Sega Genesis / CD / 32X unit?

Nope :P

That said, I have done some odd experiments since I've been S-Video modding SEGA Genesis's.

You can play regular Genesis games, with the 32X installed, BUT NOT PLUGGED IN, with an S-Video modded genesis. Since the S-Vid mod is on the genesis itself, it does not use the 32X pass through, and therefore the 32X does not need power.

So, one can use composite video hookups for 32X exclusive output only, and one only needs to plug in the 32X when playing 32X games. When playing any other games with an S-vid modded genesis with a 32X atteched, the 32X's AC can stay unplugged, and the superior S-video and audio can still be pulled directly from the modded genesis, WITHOUT removing the 32X, or it's pass thru cables.

*whew*

Everyone is probably more confused now than before I wrote that. LOL

What's the point? Well, it keeps me from having to give in and put my 32X in a box, when I mostly play Genny and SEGACD games, and would prefer to play them in crystal clear video and audio. :)

i did manage to get my genny 2 and 32x in a carboard box, and it all ran fine, but i'm way to lazy to make a proper shell for them, it's just that i lost interest halfway on the project.
