I got this from www.the-magicbox.com.

"SNK Playmore announced they will release a PS2 version of Garou: Mark of the Wolves in Japan on May 26, for 3800 yen. The game will support online battles. A Limited Edition Bundle Pack will be released on the same date, for 7800 yen, which includes a PS2 version of the arcade joystick Neo-Geo Stick 2."

Yikes, and I thought I was cool just for having the DC version. :/

I don't think it will drastically or anything. I'm still happy paying 25 for my nice mint copy ;D.

When the DC version was released it really didn't impact on the AES version that much. I think that it will retain its value, especially the first print run version with the different art and case.

Wha? Mark of the Wolves on DC is actually worth something? And there are different versions of it? o_O This is all news to me. A couple years ago my boyfriend and I picked up a complete copy (albeit with stickers all over it) for about 7 or 8 bucks. It pretty much sits unplayed because when we got it we already owned the MVS version. One time we played them back to back, and the DC port was just so inferior, especially the sound (the voice clips are really off). Still not bad if someone doesn't own the MVS or AES cart, though.

I know there are 2 versions of the Japanese one... but for the US its news to me. Jap version enjoyed a release under SNK and a rerelease under Playmore.

Well, I didnt specify its worth, just stating that its rare and kinda hard to come across. I would like to see the MVS version thought, I bet its nice.

Nick? Nick Rox? Is that you?

Seriously, it's something of a trade-off. The DC port has voice samples about one-tenth of a second off from the original, but it has a marginally improved soundtrack and a bonus art gallery. I'm a sucker for extras like that.

Either way, Mark of the Wolves is up there with Samurai Shodown II and Crystalis as one of my favorite SNK creations.

If memory serves, there's only one version of the American DC release.

FYI, Fatal Fury: MOTW for Dreamcast US is the 2nd most expensive US DC game now, just behind Power Stone 2, yes, even surpassing SF3: 3rd Strike, I've checked eBay and other sources, tne next highest value DC game is Last Blade 2.

As someone mentioned earlier, get Neo-Geo version by all means if you can, I think the Jp version has dropped its value a little.
