(and she stepped up and down rapidly while sitting down) it was the most hilarious thing ive seen XD now the worry for her is now shes gonna have nightmares of re4 now.

Hahaha, that's pretty funny ;D. The biggest reaction I've seen from someone when playing a game is when I played Rez while a bunch of my friends were visiting. They were all like mesmorized by it and wanted it to buy it afterwards, hehe.

wow, 22? is she hot?

I can teach her videogames, from the hard edge 8-bit pixeld to the soothing antialiased landscapes from current gen games.

EDIT: on topic, i remember seeing people ducking on the time crisis machines LOL

The biggest reaction I've ever seen is people saying things such as "Oh shit" or "Crap" when they screw up. Nothing too major at all.

As someone else had asked, is your cousin hot? If she plays games, then she can't be too ugly.

Up at school in the student newspaper office we have a SNES, GC, N64 and PS2. And let me tell you, a lot of people get very competitive (the girls included) when playing GoldenEye, Street Fighter, Madden, Mario Kart, and MK Trilogy.

Most of the time is people yelling extrememly loud, trash talking and getting up to do touchdown-esque victory dances after winning something, often very funny LOL

years ago I used to play a demo of tomb raiser II or III i cant remember which, maybe I, but the demo used to scare the shit out of them when things would randomly pop out of nowhere and shoot at me, I'll never forget their screaming (two girls)

The funniest reaction is from children.

Have you ever heard of the "Steering Wheel Kid"?

It's when the kid will jerk the controller to the left and right while playing Mario or Sonic....

Poor kid is just pulling the hell out of the cord...are they fishing in this game or racing?

Ohh, the DDR stories...

I've seen people take their shoes off and throw them at the DDR machine when they couldn't get a good enough grade on a song. Yes, that's right, they passed the song, but only with an A and no AA.

It's always the arrows that are the problem. "THIS IS THE WORST MACHINE I EVER PLAYED ON, F***ING ARROWS DON'T EVEN F***ING WORK RIGHT"

I've seen little kids walk up to arcade machines and pound on the buttons and wiggle the joystick during attract mode, always worth a chuckle.

My little brother (now 24) used to make these crazy lip motions while trying to say turn in a racing game or jump in a side-scroller. It would look like he was silently saying "boing" or "I'm too fat to be playing this game". He would move that controller too...he'd practically yank it. Tongue sticking partially out. Eyes so focused on the screen, man I miss those days...such a nice young boy. Obviously I picked on him and made horrible fun of him on a daily basis. LOL

That nice young boy grew up and founded GameFAQs. :onfire:

My fav is to play Silent Hill 2 with my wife. I've had it since shortly after it's release date. I didn't like it back then but I've started playing it again. I'm only a few hours into it and I don't like it...again. BUT I love to have the lights out and play it with my wife. Whenever those guys come crawling out fom underneeth something, my wife screams. (My stories suck)

I was playing Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes in a room full of people. Durring the Psycho Mantis fight, The ENTIRE Room either gasped, said what the hell, or something similar as soon as the Screen Turned to Black with "Hideo" in the corner...

Same when I was playing the Resident Evil 4 Preview... I don't know how many times I had to get my head chopped off before it lost its CwAzYnEsS to them...

Similar Reaction from me the first time I saw Psycho Mantis move my friends Dual Shock with his mind @_@

When I was about 11 or 12 my cousin was just a hair away from beating Super Mario 3 (which was a big deal because I was, you know, 11) and my brother starting flailing his arms and legs like a moron in celebration, kicking the NES soundly in the process. You can probably guess what the result of that was.

Also, this isn't really a reaction, but my friend Wes plays these helicoper games on his PC with a joystick, and when he turns the copter he leeeaaans with it. The sharper the turn, the deeper the lean. It doesn't sound like much, but Wes is a pretty big guy and it's seriously one of the funniest goddamn things I've ever seen.

That reminded me of something that happened at Wal-Mart:

I one time saw my cuson (I think I spelled that right), The N64 demo was not functioning properly (It was On, but the Controler was not working) But my cuson (Only 6 If I remember right) was pounding on the buttons, moveing the joystick in every dircetion, all while saying over and over "I'm playing Video Games!"

One of those things where you had to be there...

Anyway it was really late and a friend and I were playing MK2 on Sega Gen in his basement. Well, he almost beat me with every charachter! Anyway I can't remember who we were playing but both were very limited in health and surely the next person to get hit would loose. Well, we threw punches at the same time and for some reason I was granted the victory! At last! I finally beat him! I was so excited I jumped out of the chair closed fisted and punched the ceiling above me. Well, my friends parents bedroom was directly above us. So my friend replies "Hey, you just Super Marioed my dad!" Well, it was pretty darn funny at the time.

On topic, my when my one of my cousin's was a lot younger, he was trying to play the Song of Time in Zelda OoT. He was quite young and couldn't figure out how to play it. He kept on playing Epona's song instead. He played Epona's song over and over, getting more and more frusterated each time. Now, he had learned some 'words' from his older brother, and when he was finally too frusterated to play anymore, he screamed "This fucking game sucks!" and threw the N64 controller...which happend to land square in my face >_<
My aunt came downstairs and yelled at him for using language like that, and sent him to his room. He was so pist, he didn't even move up the stairs, so my aunt spanked him. He jumped up one step. *spank* another step. *spank* step *spank* step ROFL that was pretty funny to see.

It's been a while since I've played but I bet if I break out one of the Wipeouts, I'll be leaning. Probably to a lesser extent than I used to but it'll be pretty darn noticable. I really get into it, they're great games.

Well, I was playing Megaman & Bass for GBA in the backseat of my family's car as we were driving somewhere...and I was fighting Dynamo man. Now I don't know how many of you know how hard that asshole is to beat, what with his "heal to full" garbage and such, but simply put, he's F"N hard!! Well, anyway, this time, I actually BEAT HIM!!! So, I made a very high pitched scream that sounded something like "OMG I FIANLLY KILLED HIM WOOT" and proceeded to scare the crap out of everyone in the car. :D

When NES was pretty new, almost all the kids in my neighborhood used to make a little hop when they made Mario jump. Usually they would also kind of raise the controller along with their hop, as if that helped Mario go up.

We used to have fights because someone accidentally knocked the AC adaptor out of the wall or "made" the other person die by talking, or pushed pause on the other controller during a tricky jump.

I used to have a friend that would go apeshit everytime the computer scored in some NHL game, even if he was up by double digits. He would kick this cardboard clothes locker in his dorm room. He'd done it so much it had a giant dent in it.

An Amiga owning friend of mine tended to loose his temper a bit with difficult games. This some times resulted in him tearing the disk from the drive, crushing the disk into little pieces and then throwing the remains clear across the room. One game that got that treatment was his newly purchased copy of Shadow of the Beast but at least that one came with a t-shirt so he got something for his money.

One time he also took his anger out on a closet door using a baseball bat, didn't see it when it happened but I did see the door afterwards.

When I play Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and Guilty Gear XX#Reload with my friends at each other's houses or at the arcade, we like to do those funny Japanese-style crowd yells. Like uhh, if someone uses Yun and juggles his opponent with Super Move# 3 (Genei Jin), all of us would be yelling "AY! AY! AY! AAYYYYYY!!!!!!" on every hit that connects.

Or if a character puts his opponent on his ass with a single special move, we all just go "AAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!"

Watch these videos. These are funny as hell!

Heh, I remember one time when my girlfriend was playing Silent Hill 2 -- she was enjoying the game, although she was somewhat creeped out, and was doing well, despite not being a person who really plays videogames at all. Somehow I encouraged her to shoot the Maria character that follows you at one point in the game. My gf had been taking out the twisted creatures of Silent Hill without mercy, but somehow the shock of killing a 'real' human was too much for her and she couldn't stomach the game anymore after that. She's a bit sensitive sometimes. ;)

I think the best was at one of robotron's friday night get togethers, when two guys were arguing over KOF. "ALL YOU WERE DOIN WAS RUNNIN AWAY!" "I wasn't running anywhere" "Yes you were, you kept runnin and shit!"

Priceless.

I also remember getting an entire arcade behind me in a tournament against the local champ (who happens to be pretty well known nationally).

Back when I was a kid when I was really focused on a game my feet jerked around involuntarily. I remember playing Double Dragon 3 on the NES and when I'm not doing well in the game, taking a lot of hits and such I used to start mashing the buttons and my leg would jerk upwards at times and I didn't even notice. It was when I was playing with friends or when my mother was in the room that they would see the leg thing and yell at me to calm down. :)

Fortunately, this no longer happens.

I see that it's fairly common, but my friend is also one of those who practically steers his ass out of the chair when playing a racer. He leeeeaaaans waaaaay over while turning....and, naturally, still doesn't make the corner.....and can't understand why. He pulls and leans against the controller and ends up not tilting the thumbstick in the process.

I got a couple....

Once when I was about 14 a couple of my friends were playing NBA Jam and the score was something like 93-91 with less than 5 seconds left. The guy who was behind threw up a half court prayer shot that went in and gave him the win. As soon as it went through, he jumped out of his chair and threw his hands in the air. The only problem with this is there was a cieling fan above him. He punched the ceiling fan, destroying it and snapped some tendons in his right hand. He was in a cast for a few months afterwards.

The other was more recent. I was playing Mario Party 6 with a couple of friends and it came down to the last minigame to decide who would win the mini game star and win the game. I can't remember the mini game that was being played, but the guy who won started screaming at the top of his lungs and jumping up and down and the guy that lost started screaming "F***, F***, F***...." and punched the hell out of the couch that he was sitting on. Complete pandemonium over Mario Party 6....sigh.....

Watching any young kids play ANY game. The further under age 10, the better (ie funnier) the reaction :)

Exactly!

While wandering the Electronic's Department in Sears I noticed a kid who was probably about 9 or 10 playing some game at the N64 demo station. He became so immersed in what he was playing he somehow believed the rest of the shoppers really gave a crap what he was doing. After defeating the boss character he raised both of his fists Rocky-like into the air and did a slow victory march up and down the aisles of DVD players and vacuum cleaners. I think I was the only one who had a clue what he was celebrating, yet it didn't deter his enthusiasm nor did it wipe the cocky look off of his face.
