At the end of last month, I logged into my ebay account to check how much I owed in seller fees. It was about $150 for everything up to that day, so I paid the whole lot directly out of my Paypal account and went about my business.

I have just got my credit card statement for February, and it shows that on the same day that I paid the whole lot from Paypal, eBay took over $100 from my credit card for fees that I had already paid

I have just sent a pissed-off email asking that they refund the credit card payment immediately. And there had better not be any trouble over it. Honestly, for a company that makes so much money as ebay, how hard can it be to make sure you don't bill someone twice for the same thing? Especially when it is all done electronically. The moment that Paypal payment was made, my account should have been cleared. but obviously it wasn't.

PISSES. ME. OFF!!!

Arg, that sux :(
But are the money withdrawn from your account? Or just VISA reservation?
If its VISA reservation it might be deleted automaticly.
Just because its electronly it doesnt mean everything works flawless.
Hopefuly Ebay will help you, good luck :)

Man, that's the EXACT reason why I refuse to pay my ebay fees through Paypal, because I am certain at some point they will f it up. I just hope they don't give you a bunch of hassle.

Have you never read all the details about paying your seller fees before? The only way to make sure that you don't overpay them and get full credit for your payments is to just wait and let them take out whatever they take out. Otherwise, you're screwed. It sounds like if you pay them in any other way, they can and will legally steal whatever you send them, be it by PayPal, by check, by money order, or by cash. Just read the fine print, it's scary as hell.

Yeah, I usually just let it go out of my credit card - but I didn't want to put anything on my card this month, which is why I paid from my Paypal account, since I had enough money in there.

Now they are saying 'it may take up to 60 days' to refund the payment on my card. What kind of crap is that?!?!?!? What company on the face of this earth needs to take 60 days to refund a CREDIT CARD payment!?

I'd be tempted to ask the credit card company to retrieve my money if it weren't for the fact that ebay would probably ban my account.

Surely there must be some law against a company keeping your money for two months before they give you a refund??
