If you're like me, you play alone 80-90% of the time, and the rest you're playing with other people. It's amazing when you play games with new people for the first time how the experience goes beyond just exploring the game's intricacies (sp?)
Last night I went to visit a friend at his dorms, and we were playing DOA Ultimate... it was rather fun.
I can only imagine what it would have been like if I dragged my Saturn and Bomberman copy along. Initially I'd probably get hate on but once they pick up the controller it's magic.
