hey man, as long as ken is in it, which he is, and they got some totally cool namco guys, i will be intersted, but than again, the game will hopefully not suck.

Yes Mr. Driller is his son but the Dig Dug guy has been in the Mr. Driller games since Mr. Driller G.

Well... let's see if my roll call is accurate here on some of the characters I never thought I'd see again...
The Nameless Ones and Mirabella, Bravoman and Dr. Bomb, Gil and Ki, Arthur (and I imagine Firebrand isn't too far behind either), Valkyrie and Xandra, Captain Commando, Ginzu, Mack, and Baby, and the greatest shocker... TARIA-NO-KAGEKIYO. He has come back from the dead like he has in the Genji and the Heike Clans. Good for him! :)

I'm surprised to see Tarusuke from Youkai Douchuuki (Very underrated game) and Wonder Momo myself. :) Awesome cast of characters.

I'd guess a lot of the completely unknown characters (to north americans at least) would either be completely cut or changed to other characters with little thought to logical impact to the story. For instance, if Yoshimitsu isn't in the game, he could replace any of the Japanese-only characters that we haven't ever been exposed to in the states.
Not to mention, it'll probably get a shoddy translation due to the fact that it wouldn't sell well at all.

It's got over 200 characters from both companies. There's no way in hell that there won't be enough of the characters we know here to warrant an American release.

There's been a lot of buzz for this game on the internet (aka, the only two places i go to talk about it a lot) so maybe there is hope. If they do change characters....hopefully there'll be a JPN mode hidden or such.

WHOA.
Sorry to pull a Keanu Reeves there, but I have finally seen NXC in action... DEAR LORD. That's it, I'm importing this damn thing, U.S. release or not! I was pleased to see Rose and Akuma in there, and it looks like Kagekiyo's rival, Yoshitsune*, is one of the bad guys. Not to mention good ol' Lucifer from Ghosts 'N Goblins, and I'm still surprised to see Bravoman there. The combat looks... well, it's indescribable, but I practically creamed my pants seeing King slamming around Ogre. I felt right back in Tekken 3 there. :D
*On second review, that might not be Yoshitsune, but rather the main villain of Genpei Toumaden, Minamoto-No-Yoritomo! Now that I think of it, once you drained Yoritomo of some of his life, his face changes into that of a demon, and I think it might have looked like that... dammit, I gotta play through GT again.
