I've been meaning to post this for a while and I just kept forgetting...

A while back, I purchased a copy of New Legends for the Xbox. Upon opening the case, I could see what looked to be the cover staring at me through the green case. Upon removing the tray card, I found it had the exact same thing printed on both sides of it.

Is this an error pressing, or were they all made like this?

In the brief time I had that game, I noticed the same thing. Do yourself a favor and shelf that abominable turd. I'm glad I only paid $3 for it, even though that was still a ripoff.

You can do the same thing with Moto GP, and technically BMX XXX.

I think Acclaim was trying to save money or something buy printing the "real retail cover version" on the backs of leftover "promo display" inserts that never got shipped out. If you look at the inner pictures, they're missing the correct Barcode and usually several other important pieces of information.

Oddly enough, the Xbox is the only one that had this a few times, with the exception of BMX XXX, which was across all platforms.

Oh, it's already gone. I sold it last month for $5.50 to EB Games after paying $4.50 for it from GameStop and thinking it looked like a kick butt brawler.

Interesting theory on what was the deal with these too. I really wonder how Acclaim ended up in such poor financial shape. From having played a good number of their games recently, I didn't think they were that much more abysmal than most other companies offerings rights now. It's amazing to me they are gone.

I think a lot of their money was lost due to very heavy promotion of games like the last Turok game that didn't sell well.
