Now I know this is more of a "live broadcast" type of tech. But it's a closer step to what VR wanted to be then it became. Add a hologram generator and you have a very interesting game system.

Seriously! Think of Combat where the barriors just happened to be a 12 pack of cans placed randomly on a College appartment bar consumed before a challange..

It's pretty awesome stuff, although the objects in the speaker's right hand kept obscuring his left hand, despite the latter being closer to the camera. If they can fix that immersion-breaking flaw, they're golden.

That is pretty amazing, although I didn't understand what the guy was saying half the time.

A lot of awesome technology gets thrown by the wayside. Doesn't matter. There are screens like that of the movie Minority Report where you can move stuff by touching the completely transparent screen. There is real 3D holographic technology. I've seen both in action. Makes me wonder if they're even working on using this stuff.

I'm certainly impressed. When I was a kid I would dream about games being in 3-D, and today that dream has been fulfilled. This could be what the current generation of kids are dreaming about. :)

Well, Sony's already halfway there. They're doing some pretty neat stuff with the EyeToy. I can see future games utilizing that kind of technology. I agree they need to fix the depth thing though.
