First off, if you don't already have Victorious Boxers on the PS2, do something about that. Second, if you do, pause the game during a match. You'll notice you can change the camera angle. Switch the game to camera angle 1, and voila. The camera is placed directly behind player 1, who becomes transparent! It's the closest we'll come to a new Punch-Out anytime soon.

No! Begone beast that makes me want to buy new games!

Seriously though, how's the fighting engine? Is it pattern-ish or more like a boxing sim?

Boxing sim.

Punch-Out is still the best video game to use boxing as its base, but Victorious Boxers is the best boxing video game. And as a nice bonus, the import sequel has around a dozen Punch-Out characters hidden in the game.

But I don't see Donkey Kong in the audience!

Other Nintendo characters appear in the audience too. There's also Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong Junior.

I was surprised when I got the new Tips & Tricks in the mail today to discover that the GameCube version of Fight Night Round 2 has the SNES Super Punch-Out game included in the disc...
