Who's Got Two?

@everyone: who's got two or more of these systems? If so, why? Curious if you keep a backup system, a modded system, or just a system in another room. So tell me which you've got two of and why that is.

The reason why I ask is because I came to the realization this week when I got my modded Xbox that I've now got two of each of these, and none for the same reason.

I have two PS2's because I just had to have the Japanese one the day it was released. I've since purchased a US version and then later a dev model.

I have two GameCubes because one of them is the Panasonic Q, which just looks pretty on top of my DVD game spinner rack.

I now have two Xboxes because I want to keep my Live account on my original one - the other one is loaded with emulation goodies.

I received a second PS2 as payment in kind for accumulated cab fares. It's temporarily destined for the spare bedroom as a DVD player for exercise videos. Oh, the ignominy. Its true purpose, however, is for system link play for the two dozen-odd PS2 games that support the feature.

Nope. Only one Xbox and one GameCube. I have exclusive use of a second Xbox, but it's not mine so it doesn't count. :)

But I do have three GBAs.

I got two GameCubes. One being our original black model, and then I got a platinum model this past summer. I was at some city-wide garage sale, and at the end of a long twisty road that probably no one went down (and it was the last one we went to I think, late in the afternoon), I found it with all its hook-ups, two controllers, two loose games, and a memory card (there was actually a N64 memory card in there too for some reason) for $40. I couldn't pass it up for that price. I have two of a lot of different consoles because I spend a significant amount of living time on both coasts of the US, so it's handy to have a second GameCube to leave at my mom's house.

I'll have a second PS2 eventually, when I bring myself up to forking out the dough for it (which isn't currently a priority). I only have two US PS2 releases, so I'm happy with just my Japanese PS2 for the time being.

And I don't even have ONE XBox. :P

I only have one of each currently, but I would like to pick up a second GameCube to use at our other TV. It is small enough to fit, and with WaveBird controllers I wouldn't have to worry about wires. I'd also like to get one with the warm chocolate puddin... errr... "R - G - B" hook ups for the future.

Anyway, once they drop in price more I will probably get one. At some point, I'd like to get a second Xbox just to open up and poke around with. Probably a broken one...

I only have One GameCube and Xbox.

I plan on getting annother Xbox to mod when the prices get cheaper. And a GunMetal / FoxHound GameCube if I can find an unmodified one.

I have two Xboxes. Simply for Live purposes. One acts as a dedicated server for whichever game happens to be played by my clan at the time. We prefer a dedicated server, for many reasons, so we don't end up playing much GR2 or Halo2 sadly.
I usually wait on a purchase now to see if the game supports dedi's or not. Halo2 would not have all the problems it has today if they had used the standard Optimatch/search functions. Blue screen anybody? :roll:

AS an after thought, my server for both Rainbow and Black arrow were always in the top 100 for usage, logging over 2000+ hours.....That box had a Thomson drive. I gave it to a friend when I purchased a crystal edition/phillips machine. 200 server hours... Dead as a doornail. Go figure.

Well, I've had 3 GBAs... just not as once. I first had a Glacier GBA, which I lost at the laundromat. Then, I bought a cobalt SP on launch date, but my purse got stolen last year. Finally, to replace it, I bought an import Japanese pearl pink SP.

I used to own a second Xbox but I messed it up trying to mod it. I also owned a second PS2 (a launch one) and sold it to a friend when I bought my new one (it still works great, btw!)

I have 2 game cubes, 1 black version that I use, and 1 new in box platinum model in the Mario Kart Double Dash bundle.

I also have 2 X-Boxes 1 that I purchased, and 1 that I found next to a garbage dumpster :eek 2: (See my thread on that one).

I only have 1 Playstation 2, but I have thought about getting the new model when it gets cheap enough. :)

One PS2 is my original one on release date, using it daily for FFXI. The second is a pink Japanese one and the third is the compact release style that I bought with accumulated store credit.

Four PS2's:

-My original came from Goodwill for $10. It was constant DRE's when I bought it but it was still under warranty. Sony fixed it and it's worked great ever since.
-Two supposedley non-working units were given to me gratis by friends whose warranties were up. One had a laser gear that simply needed to be cleaned. The other had a CD tray that had jammed by slipping the tracks.. Fixed `em both myself.
-One DRE-ridden bugger I bought cheap from a local game store, primarily to cannibalize for parts as needed for the working three. Haven't needed to pull anything out of it yet.

I should probably mod one of the working ones one of these days...

- Original Launch Hour One. Minty. Works perfect. Retired when I got...

- PStwo - I could not resist a system that plays my favorite PS1 games in Component Mode and looks like a Next Gen Turbo Duo.

- Snow White PS2 with Matching Stand, Ltd. Production - Received when I became the "Biggest PlayStation Fan". Taken out once to photograph for posterity, placed right back in its box, haven't been removed from since.

Three PlayStation's - Reason? Two GreyStations for link up mode, and have a little white PSone (With screen) for the portability.

GBA's - Too many. Needed for playing certain multiplayer GameCube games, but bought some due to the fact I just liked the designs!

I'm really weird about have multiple consoles, especially anything that uses an optical drive. I guess I just look at my investment in software and figure it's worth the peace of mind to have backups for my backup systems. I bought my first Platinum Cube new at Xmas during some kind of get two games free deal. Turned around and bought a used black one for $69 to have the component video capability missing on the newer models. They had tons of them in the back and brought me out one in the original carton with all it's paperwork. A few weeks later they offer a used cube for $59 plus a free game valued at $19.99, so I went back in and picked up a loose purple one to complete the set. I've had PS2's since launch day and have 3 spread about the house. I REALLY want one of the newer PSTwo's, but they are kinda scarce around here right now. There's an XBOX in the living room and one in my bedroom and if the last kid will leave the house anytime soon, that'll do until I see a price drop from the launch of the next generation XBOX.

I answered that I've got mutiples of all three.

I got my second Cube because I wanted the Metroid Prime/Prime2 disc and was just going to sell off the system.

I got a PSTwo when they launched for two reasons. 1. I'm some sort of a PlayStation junkie LOL and 2. My PS2 has been booting slower and slower so this was a preventive measure for when this thing eventually dies and goes to DRE heaven.

I got my second Xbox because they released the Halo LE box and well I like my Halo, and it was an affordable LE system, not to mention that ive got a Thompsons drive XBox and we all know how reliable those are.

I do have 4 Playstations. 3 different Debuggers and one PSOne. Everything else that i've got I just have one of. Except my Gameboys. There i've got the progression from GBC-GBA-GBAsp-DS.

I have two PS2s. I had a Satin Silver one, which I bought new and kept in very nice condition and was quite happy with. Then the IT guy at work told me he could get me two brand new slimline PSTwos for £150. So I bit.

Sold one to my brother, was going to sell the other one too - but when I saw how slinky it was, I succumbed. I've still got it. The Silver one is packed up and ready to be sold ... just haven't got round to it yet.

Although, I have discovered the slimline PSTwo thingy doesn't like playing DVDs whilst stood on its end. Which is a bit irritating. So I am in two minds about it now.

I still don't own a current gen console (but the $60 sale on used Gamecubes at EB Games is very tempting). I do, however, have two NESs (one old school and one top loader) and two Sega Genesis's (the first two models).

Have two XBOXs. My brother got one a little while after the launch and then it stopped working so my brother sold it to a friend. Then my brother bought another one, and we got one for Christmas later that year. Then my brother's XBOX stopped working after he let a friend borrow it. So now we only have one XBOX that works.
