From Packrat Videogames:

Wolfenstein VCS is finished and now in the final stage of production!

I am very pleased with how it has turned out. In order to make Wolfenstein VCS available as soon as possible, we're going to sell it in runs of 30 at a time. We'll have our first set of 30 copies done by the end of this week.

Wolfenstein VCS will be available boxed for $32.95. The boxed version will come with the cart, box, full-color manual, and a free 4" x 5 1/4" sticker graced with Dave's amazing cover art (see below). The loose version will cost $19.95 for the cart and manual.

If you would like to be part of the first run of 30, please send an email to wolfenstein@packratvg.com with your request. The first seven are already spoken for, so act quickly of you'd like to be one of the first people to get their hands on this gem of a game. We'll collect payment for requests after each run done, so no one will pay for their order until it's ready to go. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Jarett Waite

P.S. I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in this project. It would not have been possible without RobertM, Scott, DaveD, and many others.

FYI, there are now nine left from the first run. After emailing wolfenstein@packratvg.com with your request, you'll receive a confirmation email that will include which number you are on the preorder list.

Thanks,
Jarett

There was Wolfenstein before Id, so who knows.

Hey, did somebody call an attorney? :)

Thankfully, Id isn't like Infogrames and shouldn't worry much about a small production of a hackbrew. The gameplay is completely different from any other Wolfenstein game and even the names of the characters are different. All of the artwork is original and only follows Wolfenstein in the sense that it deals with Nazi Germany.

In addition, the actual word "wolfenstein" isn't property of Id. Just to be safe, though, we named the game Wolfenstein VCS. We hope if Id does find out about this release that they'll take it as praise more than anything for the how much we appreciate the Wolfenstein series.

Best,
Jarett

The fist set of thirty have been pre-ordered. However, if you're not on the list for the first run, still send us your request to receive a low production number. We have decided that we will place a sticker on the inside of each box with its production number. So the sooner you let us know that you'd like a copy, the earlier your production number will be.

The second run of carts should be ready to go within two weeks. Thanks so much to everyone for their support.

Best,
Jarett

At least $32.95 ;)

Most Homebrew/Hacks hold there value and when they are discontinued go up in price. I have had a hard time picking up a few older discontinued Homebrews. Like everything else they are worth what you are willing to pay.

There are several people who do it. You can also check with Packrat or Atariage to make carts. The cost per cart is usually set by the size of the game (2k,4k,8k, etc..).

Just a quick note regarding the boxed limited edition of Wolfenstein VCS – everyone on the preorder list that hasn’t made arrangements with us by midnight on Friday, June 23, will give up their number. You do not need to pay for your copy by tomorrow night, just let us know that you’re still interested. If you were on the preorder list, you should have received several emails in the last two weeks regarding its release. If not, please PM me right away!

Thanks so much,
