It's a really really really awesome game

for the first few months. Then you lose the newness and it gets repetitive. One plus is that it contains like 14 NES games.

ANd much gaming experience in that couple of months. It's very addictive. Mine gets turned on ever couple of weeks still, to play in the snow, spring, summer, fall..... And to sell turnips and generally harass the animals. It's definitely worth picking up, especially if it's at a 20 dollar price range. You'll get more entertainment out of it then the last thing you paid 20 dollars for (Don't worry, I wont tell everyone her name)

I probaly will get it sooner than later.

Because the clock is always running in AC, you'll want to at least pick it up for a few minutes a day just to see what's new and to do anything unique, like there are some events keyed in to holidays and the like.

The NES games you can pick up and play in the game are a nice bonus, and so is the E-Reader cards if you have one and most of the good cards.

I agree the huge FUN factor of the game wears after a few months, but it's still something you want to spend about 10 minutes with a day. :)

You won't regret buying it that's for sure. it's one of those games that looks silly but for some reason you're unable to put it down. The first year is fun, after that it gets a bit repitetive, although you can always find another suckers' town (if they own the game and have the memory card available for you) and go there and harrass the citizens. I love doing that. it pisses of the wife when I do it, but it's fun nonetheless.

Second best game ever IMO. Can't wait for ACDS.

When you first start playing it it's amazing and funny. The novelty does wear off after a while and you DO have to check in on a regular basis or the gameworld will pass you by. If you're going to play it you have to dedicate yourself to it or not start it at all. It demands attention....especially if you've decided to play in a "nice" fashion.

I liked playing it just to see how mouthy the neighbors got. If you get bored you can go against the game by doing things like be mean to the neighbors, let the weeds get way out of hand, allow fruit to rot and cut down every tree except for one. There are cheat codes that can cause havoc as well.

Just come back to it once a month or so, and you'll be okay with it. It is repetitive, but you don't have to spend hours with it at a time.

Definitely go for it. Now that it's Spring, there's lots of things to do.

Hey

Probably the single most played game in my house between me and they wife and a 6 and 7 year old.

After you get bored with the basic stuff after 4 months get the strategy guide and go for the fung shui object placements in your house.

The GBA and eReader connectivity with all the cards is also really cool.

I bought mine at release and have not had second thoughts. Have also bought a few 59 block mem cards just to make a few new towns to goof around in.

Let me start by saying that I have played AX for more hours than any other video game (except maybe Party Poker).

Part of the fun of AX is having others around you playing and talking about what is happening. It is a great game, but when you are the only one playing you tend to loose interest fast. The DS version should be awesome and people will be playing it again.

I haven't played AC in a long, long time... imagine all the cockroaches I'll have to kill!!!

I've yet to figure out the part where you connect to the island on the GBA... next time I plug in the game I'll try to make it work properly!

I loved AC. I played it everyday for a year. It's definitely the most time I've ever put into a game. I'm scared about getting the DS one, cause I can't afford to get that sucked in again. Such a simple game, but so much fun.
