I've been looking at the skin mods for various consoles on eBay lately and there are some fantastic looking stuff. Everything from Ryu to Britney Spears can now be plastered onto the top of your PS2. I was wondering whether anyone here has tried these mods and whether you would recommend it. My primary concern is with eventual removal and whether doing so will leave adhesive marks all over my console. I'm mainly interested in a mod for my PS2 and maybe my DS as well.

Here are some samples of what these skins look like:

They sell trippy designs at Hastings. I dont know if they leave residue or not, but a simpler solution is to just stack sticker on top of sticker on top of sticker on top.....

Hmm... haven't anyone here actually applied these mods on their own machines? I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if it really looks as good as the photos show...

I have a chrome blue skin on my PS2 and a chrome green one on my XBox. I like the look. It is a relatively inexpensive and incredibly easy way to case mod your system without messing it up. Any residue (there shouldn't be any) is nothing a little Goo Gone wouldn't cure. Go for it.
