Is the eyetoy a pretty good little gadget? I found one at a Mom and Pop store for $25 on clearance. Im guessing I should have picked it up.

I haven't had a chance to play with mine yet (i've only had it for like, almost a year now) but I played with one at one of our store demos. It's actually pretty fun. They've also finally stepped up support for it, which make it even more enjoyable.
If it's a complete set (ie the game comes with either anti-grav, groove, or play) $25 is a steal.

I didn't think it was anything special. Its seems fun at first, but then you just realize that all your doing is waving your arms around. After a couple of minutes it gets boring. I haven't tried the Antigrav yet so I don't know what thats like. I suppose it can be a good for parties and such.

Hmm
I smacked $49.99 down when it was released. My kids love it and it is like excercise. I only have the original Groove game that came with it. Every once in a while after a couple of brews I get the urge to play the ninja fight game :)
And with a little notepad hacking you can turn it into a PC webcam. So I have no regrets.

I got mine at CompUSA for $25 (opened return). I think it's a good deal, there are quite a few of those interactive games for the kids and I use it for THUG and World Championship Poker.

I just got Antigrav yesterday, and - maybe other peoples' experiences are different (do tell), but I found it really hard to control. I have a feeling it might be the lighting I had set up - might have been too dark.
It followed my face alright, but my hands - although they were well under control in the real world, were spazzing all over the place in the eyetoy world. Very frustrating to control.

I may pick up SingStar Party when I find the box set with bundled mic...
haven't played EyeToy games but I won't mind to give Samba de Amigo a spin... :p

Update: Adjusted some of the lighting in the room I was playing Eyetoy: Antigrav in and it made all the difference.
This game is quite a bit of fun. Nothing blockbuster or awe-inspiring, but it is a really unique skateboard / snowboard type of game. The whole futuristic hoverboard thing is very cool, and the action is fast and furious. If you're not into the gimmicky "Play" or "Groove" Eyetoy games, give this one a try. It's much more like a typical game but with very unique (and fun) controls.
Even the menu is fun to navigate. Think Tom Cruise in Minority Report when he was using that computer - that's what it's like. Not quite that cool, but still fun.

Lighting is the problem here..... It almost has to be night time, in a dark colored room, witha bright light just above your head.
If you can achieve the proper conditions, it's fine.

I lucked out and picked up EyeToy:Groove at Target for 15 bucks! I haven't opened it up and played it yet, since Sony is fixing my PS2(again).
The only thing that bugs me about the EyeToy is that you cannot buy Play and Antigrav seperately. A response from Sony told me that there are no plans to release them by themselves.
Also, I read that Harry Potter:Prisoner of Azkaban has a bunch of EyeToy minigames.

This may be a touch off-topic, but am I the only person who's noticed a distinct resemblance between Eyetoy: Antigrav and the Dreamcast title Trickstyle?

That totally f*cking sucks! I've been looking for both of these (I have the camera w/ Groove).
what the HELL were they thinking???

That does sort of stink. BUT - riddle me this, peoples of the internetwebs: do you need two Eyetoy devices to play Antigrav multiplayer? If so, then perhaps all is not lost.

i dunno, but Groove is in only SCEA title avalaible seperately from the camera. I'm hoping I'll be able to pick it the other two used at some point.
The second party titles so far are Nicktoons Movin' and Sega SuperStars.
Here's all the games that Sony lists on their site.

I see Play at every used game store I visit, but it's always bundled w/ the camera- for $40. Someone suggested I buy that, then sell back the camera, keeping Play. You take a hit in the wallet, but I guess if you want the game that bad...
About World Champ. Poker- does it use EyeToy for online play only, or does it work it into the offline game(s) too?
BTW, Xbox owner brother-in-law was over today- showed him EyeToy- he was wowed.

I didn't like AntiGrav very much, it was a little too "gimicky", although I really enjoyed Play.
