I'm trying to get absolutely complete copies of some of my games, so I am wondering what came in these games when they were brand new? All of them are NTSC copies, none of them are Player's Choice.

Here's what I have so far:

Banjo-Kazooie: Box, Instructions, Precautions Booklet, Player's Guide Offer
Bomberman Hero: Box, Instructions
Diddy Kong Racing: Box, Instructions, Player's Guide Offer, Quick Button Guide, Precautions Booklet, Cart Holder
Mission: Impossible: Box, Instructions, Cart Holder, Precautions Booklet, Super Mario 64 Insert, Poster

What else came with these when they were new?
Thanks for any help!!

It doesn't sound to me like he's trying to buy, but trying to find info as to what originally came with them so he can then buy the pieces he needs to complete the games. Man was that sentence way too long or am I just really tired?

I can help you with three of those four if it is PAL games you are referring to. As I buy all my games factory sealed with their tear strips, all my games are 100% complete!

I slit them open gntly, take out th cart to play, then store the box and remaining contents in a storage crate out of sight. All my game boxes still have everything in them (Except the carts) which they came with originally!

If it's NTSC games though, i'm afraid I can't be of any assitance.

Likewise. Sadly the boxes might have been a little bashed when I got them through the mail but I always kept everything that came with them!

Now I CAN be useful here because all my N64 games are US or Japanese.

So let's see what's in my boxes here...

Banjo-Kazooie: Manual, Precautions Booklet, BK Players Guide offer (from Nintendo Power) - Me Mumbo. Me help you... only if subscribe!

Diddy Kong Racing - Manual, Cardboard cart holder, Precautions Booklet, Quick Button Guide (Operation Guide), Player's Guide offer

Mission: Impossible - Manual, Cardboard cart holder, Precautions Booklet, generic (Super Mario 64) Nintendo Power insert, poster (MI on one side, ads for other Ocean games on the other)

I collect the N64 and most N64 games are the same. Box, tray (if it was a removable kind), plastic cart baggie, cartridge, instructions, white warning paper, Nintendo Power subscription offer (sometimes game specific, sometimes not). If a find contains all of these I call it a super-complete. Hard to do since most people tossed the "junk" in the garbage.

As an N64 collector, what irks me are the people who open an N64 game from the wrong side and needlessly destroy the box in the process. The later boxes had a cart retainer built into the box at the "wrong" end and people rip it out thinking that you had to in order to get the cart out. N64 boxes are right-handed and it's the red panel that is to be opened, not the yellow one.

Nice thing about the N64 is that it's still not hard to get 3-piece completes.....box, cart and instructions. I'm heading onto 60 games now and most of them are completes. Great system to collect for and play. :D

Well, there's only really one way to ensure "Super completeness" and that's to buy a sealed game. (You just knew i'd sneak that in here somewhere! Lol!)

If it is PAL games you are on about, I can help you out with Bomberman Hero, Diddy Kong Racing (Original Release, NOT Player's Choice), and Banjo Tooie.

I am assuming you will want every little last detail right down to the baggies and all!

Boy, talk about stupid people. o_O I've been fortunate enough to not come across any torn up boxes like that.

Lol.

Anyhow, I personally don't worry about little registration cards or advertisements but I would say just go for box & instructions. I don't recall ever owning a game that had a map or anything like that.

I usually buy my N64 games however I find them, then wait around and get the manuals and boxes if needed later on.

The sealed Pokemon Snap I bought at TRU was torn up like that... @_@

*Edited the first post*

Sorry everyone, I wasn't specific enough (especially Gemini Phoenix). I'm talking about NTSC games.

Thanks Mayhem! Any other things not listed, I'm looking for absolutely everything that came with these games (including the baggies). Still need Bomberman Hero.

On a side note, I am really loving Bomberman Hero despite what the poor reviews say!

I've left out the bags, cos naturally I had no need to keep them. Everything else I got with the games will still be in the boxes I have. Most of my N64 collection I bought new you see, so less chance of anything gone walkabout.

I almost forgot!!!

Nearly all of the early run of N64 games also came with a full-color cardboard "quick-reference" card that had a picture of the controller and a guide as to what buttons did what in the game.

I wish that they had of kept that up. They were great.

ShadowMan originally came with a map, but it's hard to find with used copies.
