I just connected my Atari Redemption controller on my Atari 5200 and have connected a Genesis control pad to it but I can't seem to get the games to start. Anyone know what I have to do. Everything is connected and I push the start button and all the other buttons on my Genesis control pad but I still can't get it to start. Please help.

Do you also have a working Atari 5200 controller plugged into the other port of the Redemption Controller? You'll need to have that in order to use the start, pause, reset, and number keys. The start button on the Genesis pad would not have any effect.

Ok, Didn't know what. Guess I'll have to get my 5200 controller repaired then which is why I got a redemption controller in the first place.

It's probably just your analog stick that is broken. Try it with the Genesis & broken 5200 (and just use the start etc.. for their intended pupose). Try before you spend $25 on a repair kit.

Ok, I'll try it.

the start/pause/reset & fire buttons are usually what doesn't work on a 5200 controller.

Ok, I tried it and didn't work. Anyone know who can repair 5200 controllers? If anyone knows links or someone who will do it, I appreciate it.
