i got my crystal canadian xbox, and its pretty bad ass, im wondering which company drives these use. the trays are different from the other drives and i was wondering if anyone opened theirs up to mod it or something, and know which drive is in there.

I have one of the latest run of Xboxes, bought a week ago. Mine was manufactured in January and has a Samsung drive. I would assume that yours would be the same.
We also have one of last summer's Xboxes and yes, the tray is entirely different on my new machine.
