Remember that Ebay Insanity contest? The one that I somehow ended up as one of the winners in? I think there was a tie or something, so I just barely squeaked into last place. In terms of prizes, I was expecting a battered Mario/Duck Hunt cart. LOL

However, I talked to my mom today, and she mentioned that a package had come for me back home. I asked her to open it for me, and in it were many, many wonderful things, including an Akklaim hat, True Crime: Streets of LA, the game poetry book Blue Wizard is About to Die (how the heck did you know I'd been looking for that? :eek 2:) and lots and lots of other good stuff.

To summarize: Woot! :D

There's a video game poety book? When you get it could you post an entry or two from it please?

Love the name of it. I always enjoy getting a prize pak from Joe, never know what's inside!

I know this is some what off topic -

But did anyone else see that the guy who had the "Nintendo DS with 3 games" auction which featured a Nintendo 64 got on the show "The Screen Savers"? I thought it was pretty cool.

Hmm, it's a girl, not a guy... (it's SamuraiSmurfette, if you gotta know).

;)

Well, then, it seems that the Screen Savers have gotten lazy enough to get their material from EGM (there's a letter in the April issue of EGM about Smurfette's auction, unaware that it was never meant to be a serious auction)

No, The Screen Savers had it featured before EGM has the April issue on the market.

Wow though, that's seriously a good auction if it can garner that much attention. :eek 2:

wow. This is seriously resurrecting an old topic.
I was cleaning my room today, and found that issue of EGM, and I got remembering about this whole fiasco.
So what exactly is "screen savers"? Anybody know which episode? (or have a cap of it?) I'd love to see it. :)

Screen Savers WAS (I say was because I think they are dead dead dead) a show that was on tech tv (later bought out by G4) that was all about technology and how to do things reviews of gadgets and all kinds of other things. They had a call in segment where they'd answer questions live and it was all filmed in merry old San Francisco. It was one of the best shows on TechTV IMO. No clue as to when your thing aired.

Yes Screen Savers was a good show that started on ZDTV and slowly became bastardized after G4 bought the channel. Recently it was renamed into Attack of The Show.
