I just got a wireless B router and a game adapter for my ps2. It seems to work fine except when I play MK Deception. It allows me to connect, and get into the rooms, but as soon as a battle starts it kikcs me off line. I get messages like, connection sync error, inadequate connection etc. Can anyone help me out. I have dsl in my home.

HELP. I am going crazy.

If yo are using WEP you may want to turn it off.. or drop it from 128 to 64...

all right now this really sucks. I am getting connection, but as soon as the fights start in MK Deception, I get inadequate connection, and lost connection sync messages. I cant seem to keep a good connection. Plus the lag sucks. Is it the server? Is it my network? I was on the phone with this dude from linskys last night for two hours and still no solid connection.

HELP :help:

It's hard to tell unless you give us some more detailed information about your equipment and settings. However, if your other games work correctly and only MK is giving you problems, there are three likely possibilities that I can think of right off. First, your internet connection may not be good enough to play that particular game. Try going to broadbandreports.com and using their speed test tool. Let us know what speeds you get, particularly for upload speed. Even though you may have a high download speed, some services provide low upload speeds. The second possibility is that this game requires certain ports to be available on your PS2. You can check in the game's manual, usually it will tell you which ones it uses. You will need to make changes to your router's port forwarding configuration. Or, if it has a DMZ feature, you may want to use that instead. The third possibility is that the game service or people you were playing were having some network issues. Dropped connections and lag happen even with good connections. But I assume you have tried many times over a period of time, so this is probably not the problem.

I'd try running a network cable to my PS2 and seeing if that worked. That way you'd know if the wireless portion of your network is the problem.

BTW, is your PS2 modded?
