It came out in early 1996 I believe and was one of the last GG games? I know it was the last to earn a Silver award in EGM (issue #82 or so).

I finally got my hands on it and it's every bit I was expecting. This is a nice portable game! Definitely reminds me of a very playable NES game, which is no bad thing.

It seems like an uncommon game though, but for GG games of this quality are few and far between IMHO. I usually play a GG game for 15 minutes and never pick it up again. Arena has me coming back to it at least once or twice a week. (I'm currently on level 5 or so)

Oh yeah, it's also a GG exclusive. I'm no GG expert so I duno how significant that is but I doubt there are an excess of great EXCLUSIVE GG games.

Really good game for a GG, I never tought a shooter of this quality could be done on that system. Probably one of its 5 best games. Great graphics, godd (albeit a bit repetitive) music, lots of weapons and stages... :)

I have that game. It is pretty good. I like Alien Syndrome too. But I think that X-Men: Mojo World was the last official US release for the Game Gear.
