Thanks for that site! That's something that I've also been toying with the idea of.

Wow, your'e a pixel artist? I'm sorry I'm intruding into this topic but do you have some links for pixelart tutorials? Frankly my favourite res is 320x240 :) and I'd like to learn more about some techs. I'm sort of an artist, well not famous yet, but who knows LOL

Yea ... check Zoggles' (http://www.zoggles.co.uk/asp/tutorials.asp?show=index) site for a bunch of tutorials. Pixelation also had a nice link list, but it's down currently.

I know its not much but I was a QA tester for 4 months. I had dreams ever since I was younger of working in the industry and was happy to finally get the chance (all be it a short one). I just wanted to say that please evaluate everything before jumping into things. There is a lot more work involved (especially hours spent and stress) in any job in the game industry, especially a designer, more than I ever thought it would be. Be prepared for shitty hours and hard work. It may not be that way everywhere, but from my experiece and talking to others it's not a cakewalk. I'm not saying any job should be easy, but when you have dreams sometimes you may overlook or not realize all of the aspects. Good luck and I hope you reach your dreams. If you would like, I can share my short experience with you anytime...just send me a PM.
