I melted the tabs off a Super NES Game Genie so I could play imports... and it does for some of them. But for others I just get a warning about it being illegal to copy games. Did I buy bootlegs?

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that Game Genie would do that anyway sometimes. If that is the case, is there any way around it?

Thanks ^_^

I'm going to guess that these games need something other than a pass thru device to play on your system. Have you tried researching the titles to see if there are any game genie codes you could enter to by-pass the territory lockout?

I remember getting that warning all the time when I played Super Metroid with a Game Genie. Sorry, but I don't really know anyway around it. Why don't you just cut out the tabs in the actually SNES?
