ps2 not working

my ps2 likes to not play dvds or games, it used to just be dvds but now its both any ideas on to fix it. i had it fixed once by sending it to sony and it worked again but i dont feel like sending back again and having them do a shitty job any thoughts, thanks

get ahold of OMNEDON on the technical forum- you can send it to him to fix- his work is EXCELLENT!

If you've cleaned it of dust, made sure the DVDs are clean etc...

Then it's dead. Laser dead. Gone. Ceased to be. Joined the choir invsible. It is an ex-laser. So it's back off to Sony (or someone who can fix it) or buy a new PS2. Ever wonder why PS2 sales still continue even though you think everyone must have one by now? Because quite often lots of lasers burn out just like yours.

And that's why I run the HD and rip all my games to one to play off.

if you have any experience repairing stuff (basically you just have to know how to work a screwdriver) go to www.videogamerepair.com and order a new laser assembly. otherwise i can't help ya.

Well the two I sent Sony work flawlessly plus all the others I've recommended people to send them too.

Hey,..For them to fix it free for just the cost of me shipping to them..Whew,you can't beat that.
