I just got a Sega CD and (pre-lockout) Genesis in the mail today, and am having problems with the Sega CD's door here (it's a model 1 unit). I power up the Sega CD, and hold reset, but nothing happens (even though my TV tells me to put a disc on the tray and press start). Any ideas on what to do? (And, if it's dead, anyone willing to salvage it for me?)

If you put your ear up to the SegaCD, can you hear anything at all?

I can't hear a thing, and pushing start does nothing.
Worst of all, the Genny it came with seems to be unable to play games, thereby resulting in a big ol' loss on this auction if things keep going the way they are. :(
