I have just started collecting Colecovision games and I notice on Ebay alot of the rarer boxed games are going for $50-$100 USD each. Is this high right now? If anyone has been collecting long and could give me an idea that would be great. I dont really want to be paying this much if the prices are likely to plunge anytime soon.

That's low.

If you can do without boxed games, you'll find better prices. CV stuff (in general) on ebay is pretty low right now.

It's possible, but you'll need a pretty decent sized bankroll (or the world's greatest tradebox - or both!) to do it. Good luck! :)

haha no doubt. I am kind of hoping for some massive lot. Buying each game seperatly really hits the wallet on shipping costs. If I saw huge lot for under $1000 I would bid.

That's about average as far as Colecovision games go although a little low as far as eBay goes. Alexkidd2000 where did you get that Avatar of a Dreamcast painted like a Gamecube and what's that attached to the bottom of it?

Interesting. Is there anyone who can lay claim to a complete coleco collection? That system would be the runner up to atari 2600 and the nes as far as difficulty.

Is it just me, or are ColecoVision boxes really scarce? I have about 50 loose carts and only about 3 boxes. In the wild, I've come across Coleco carts about a dozen times but found boxed examples only once (unfortunately I didn't buy them because they were too expensive).

Boxed games are always harder to find than loose ones but the proportion of boxed to loose seems out of whack for CV as compared to other classic systems.

It always annoyed me how many people bought games back when they only came in cardboard boxes and then just threw the boxes away and often the instruction manuals too or lost them(Sega excluded as they have always released their games with dedicated plastic storage cases well except for some of the later Genesis games.). Thankfully now that all the consoles and the newest handhelds have their own DVD like cases we don't have this problem anymore. Personally I don't own any CV games but I do own 13 Intellivision games and by some miracle all of them are complete and 11 of them are mint.

I'm going to have to paint my dreamcast like a gamecube then, that's just really cool. Do you have a larger version of that image? I think you might have tried to post it but it didn't show for some reason. Thanks.

i cant post it cuz i have nowhere to host it. i can email it to you if you tell me your address. Also, its really hard to keep those boxes. I had a coleco when i was 5 and i dont have any of the boxes left thats for sure.
