Game collection?

I have a little over 500 games for about 21 or 22 systems.I know that is nothing when I look at Joe's game room and such, but I like to think I am doing good for a 15 year old. :D :hmm: :/

Well...*pulls down his...games*

I'm at around 550 games for about 20+ systems, and another 100+ PC games, which I don't count with console stuff. I've been collecting since about '95, and I'm 25 these days, so I'd say you're doing CRAZY good at 15 :)

Course, I only collect specific genres and a fairly high percentage of my collection is rare as well. Oh..and I have another 450+ games for sale that I don't count in my collection either :)

I have over 30 systems now, not including doubles, and i have not idea how many games. That's probobly quite good for being only 17.

I guess I'll follow the format of everyone else...

Ive got just over 580 games for about 25-30 different systems, plus a few standalone pongs.

I've been collecting for a couple of years now, and I'm 23. ;)

Just restarted so i am counting about 350 for 12 systems. Not really going beyond 15 systems, but adding 10 games each week.

About 150 games for 10 systems. I'm 19 and a college student...I only collect games I'm going to play, due to monetary factors.

Achika
12-26-2002, 12:40 AM
1362 games spread over 57 (for the most part, this does not include clones or PONG units.)

Whew, when I think about it, that's a lot of time and money wasted...and I'm only 20. I hope someday to be a pro-photographer to afford this addiction, er, hobby!

Wise...as a fellow poor 19-year old college student, I've got around 100 games for 8 systems right now, so you're not the smallest.

But it's not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean...err, joystick..umm...control pad.

I just started colecting about 5 months back and I started out with 127 NES games and a Top Loader

I have 600 (579 different) NESgames (and a few systems and controllers, etc.)

10 Gamecube Games

1 GBA game(Only buy Games for it after I beat one, just beat Metroid Fusion, time to buy Zelda)

I Black Dreamcast, but no games WTF?

I used to have a collection of Genny Games (around 100) and N64,SNES, PS2, and X-box but I sold 'em . I ahve decided to focus one one system at time(NES, if you cant tell)

I would say not bad for being 19 and 5 months into it, looking to get my NES collection completed next year and start On a Master System and if ANYONE has one for sale, A Famicom Disk System colection!

I'm at 4030+ games for 25 or so systems plus about 15 full size arcade games. Lately have just been picking up Dreamcast and SNES with the occasional PS/PS2 release.

One of these days I might care enough to count my collection LOL
I'm a gamer first so I don't really care how "big" my collection is just
that I have games I like :D
I have 8 different consols and 10 different games collections :)

@AlanD :o WOW thats impressive :o

and it's good to see sdstuff.. er.... Six Switch posting stuff that

I only have a 'collection' of games for the sega systems and the psx though. The others are pretty minimal.

this counting of systems seems fast and loose. i define a system as a unique cartidge platform- for example i may have a 6 switcher, a 4 switcher, a sears video arcade II, a telegames, a gemini and so on but i only count all that as one system (the atari 2600 platform). are some of you counting that as 5? i guess its kind of like label variations, some people will count dodge em and dodger cars as two different games when they are in fact the same thing under a different label.

i like exact counts...maybe i'll get around to totaling up mine since i'm pretty much snowbound.

I, for one, am only counting unique platforms. However, I did count non-cartridge systems and classic computers. I didn't count pongs since they don't use any sort of interchangeable media.

For games, I don't count label variations but I do count manufacturer variations. I suppose it doesn't make sense that I would do that for games and not for systems but oh well.

Atariguy

and I didn't count different versions of the same console, but I did count add-ons, Pong-style one game units, and my Donkey Kong arcade machine.

I was counting pretty much each unique console and each computer that I collect the carts for (Vic-20, C-64, Atari8) as 1. I couldn't tell you exactly how many systems that is without counting them all up. I would guess 20-25.

Hm, just in America, there's quite a few more systems more than that. On quick glance, NeoGeo CD and Odyssey2 could be added.

Also, if one counts systems like the TI99 as a console, there's a lot of "computer/consoles" that could be added.

In any case, no matter how you count it, some guys here have some amazing collections.

Oops knew I forgot a few. I collect O2, SMS, NeoGeo CD and Pocket Color also. You also listed N64 twice. Once in my end of the list and in yours. Also you can really stretch and count the MegaDuck, a truly nasty system that had some release in the US. It was sold quite a bit on Navy ships since they had a captive audience and were too cheap to stock Gameboys in the ship store. Also there is the APF MP1000.

I think I sit around 30-35 unique systems and around 2,500+ games (US). Also, I have 8 arcade units and nearly countless promotional items, from t-shirts to standees and all thing in-between. I just started working on a complete inventory about a week ago, hope to be done with it sometime in the next month or so.

oooh what fun =]

Looks like 1,345 unique games, and probably close to 1450 if I count doubles, 25 unique console systems.

It amazes me hearing you 13-15 year old guys talking about collections that are rapidly approaching mine in size. When I was that age, I was huge into record collecting, and had (still have some) tons of rarities that adult collectors were pretty, well, jealous of. In high school, I picked up classic gaming along with it, and that was just crazy...

But once college hit, I *really* wished that I had saved that record money when I had it. Even now, just keeping the classic gaming and much reduced record collections, I don't have the cash to pour into it. Unless you've got loaded parents, I'd recommend you save a little more than you planned on - it'll pay off once those $30K tuitions pop up. Right now, in fact, I'm struggling with the idea of selling off some of the records (mostly early-90s alt-rock 45s on pretty colored vinyl) to create a "fund" for the classic games. That way, I can actually keep my real money for school...

Having said that, my "official" count is an evenish 875 games over a bunch of machines, but 339 of them are for the 2600. I've been getting pretty specific to certain consoles these days... partly due to interest in them and partly due to restraining the cash. Fun fun!

Anyway here is what I got:
133 NES games
113 Dreamcast games
25 SNES games
14 N64 games
4 Genesis games
5 GameCube games
2 SMS games

975 games for 1 system (Genesis), and 200 more (or so) for SMS, Sega CD, Sega 32x. The Genesis ones you can see on my website, and the others you will probably see there sometime in the future.

Oh, yeah, I'm almost three times tender his age of 15, but have only been collective three years... :-D
