... here's another:

I looked at his other items - his SFII SCE is sealed only at the side, ie. with the Sega sticker, but ISS is shrink-w(r)apped.

And of course there's Time Killers.

Edit: Man, I should find a new hobby.

PAL megadrive games were never sealed in shrinkwrap (afaik) they only had a security sticker and judging by the look of it in that pic that looks like a shop reseal job to me.

It does look a bit sloppy but I was thinking of the TecToy ones - those factory seals are downright poor.

I suppose some may have been sealed by certain stores or something, but I'm pretty sure they weren't "officially" shrink-wrapped.

I think the seller has had a few of these so called "shrink wrapped", as I was gonna mention one very much like this yesterday.

its clearly wrapped in cling film (sandwich not included).

during the megadrive hayday I worked in the shops and pal games were always in boxes of 5, not wrapped, just a blue and white sega sticker over the center top or side where it opened.

so this auction is bollocks IMO

Here in Italy I've found some pal sealed shrink-wrapped titles as Castlevania and Hyperdunk in different toy shops (the ones I remember now).

Hmm, interesting. Both those, and ISS, are Konami games, so maybe there were some shrinked games, at least in some places? (Kinda ironic given Gemini_Pheonix's rant about Konami's PS2 games LOL )

I have bought American games which have been wrapped in cellophane (With folds each end) - Sega 6pak springs to mind...

But I believe the one mentioned above has been done by someone in GameStation or somewhere. They are notorious for resealing things - Especially Snes / N64 games.

It wouldn't surprise me if that did turn out to be a reseal - But it still amazes me how many people still fall for that!

Ie, take Alien Soldier, Streets Of Rage III, or Gunstar Heroes and get someone you know to shrinkwrap it (Say, if they worked at GameStation or HMV or somewhere) - Then stick it on eBay! You just watch how many people will actually believe that it's originally sealed!!!

I find that lot with rare expensive PSone games (Ie, FF7; Star Ocean II Et al) - People will reseal them in shrinkwrap. Ok, the white sel is unbroken, but the game is still not *Originally sealed*.

And many people believe that because a game has that hanging tag on the back, it MUST be official... Wrong. They can be bought cheaply down any post office and applied to anything.

It worries me how many gullible people there are out there who aren't clued up on these things. :/
