Thunder Spirits question

Before anybody tells me to search for info on the rarity guide let me just say that the only description it gives of this game is that it's a port of the popular Thunder Force series for Genesis. What I am wondering is which Thunder Force is it supposed to be? It is rather difficult so I haven't gotten very far but it is my first game in the Tunder Force series and it rocks quite hard.

It's a port of the arcade port of Thunder Force 3. Confusing, no? It features most of the TF3 levels (in linear fashion), and then finishes with the final side-scrolling level from TF2. Odd. In any case, it's a poor substitue for the Genesis titles.

Yeah, Thunder Spirits is pretty bad, especially in comparison to it's counterpart on the Genesis. The Genesis version is widely known for having some of the best music to ever appear on the console, but the SNES version is pretty ugly. It's also plagued by slowdown.

It is definitey not a BAD game. It's pretty damn good compared to most shooters of the time. Yes, the Genesis version is superior. However, the SNES version has some different levells. I thought it was decent, but not as good as the Genesis version.

Hmm? Thunderforce AC? I don't ssee how the SNES version is more simillar to the arcade game than the Genesis version.

The SNES version, imo is easier too. I was actually abe to beat the game from start to finish using only one hand and a standard SNES controller.
