I bought a NES game today. The label was very dirty. I tried rubbing some alcohol and tried to wipe the dirt off...but part of the labelīs ink faded!!

Iīve heard about something called "goo gone"...but we dont have that in mexico. What household item can I use to clean the dirt in the label?

Thanks!

Was it an unlicensed game? 99% of licensed NES games have a glossy protective layer so you can simply wipe them with a damp rag to clean off dirt. Just make sure you stay away from the edges of the label. As for unlicensed games, you have to use some discretion.

Its an official castlevania 3 game for NES. The dirst doesnt seem like it might come off too easily (looks like a sticker residue) but I will try to clean it with a damp rag.

thanks for the info!
