Sega genesis posters?

Does anybody no if there is a list of games that came with posters for the sega genesis system. Heres the ones Ive got. Maybe we need to start a theread, so we can start a list.

there was a poster of one of the Joe Montana football games. I've never owned one of his games, yet his poster came with one of the games i ad o.O

The Joe Montana poster I have came with the game gear version of Joe Montana football.

Last weekend I retro'd out my kids room with sega posters. I had the Golden Axe poster that was a pack in for some original consoles. It was only folded in quarters. And the best one IMHO the Golden Axe II poster by Boris.

Then there is that one with the various game artworks on it. That awful Phantasy Star II art..

And just to keep my kids guessing I put up a poster from an atari 7800 game. They see Mario and Luigi and they can't understand why it isn't Nintendo :)

My Virtua Racing has one, and I think one of the Ecco games came with a poster. I used to have a bunch of them hanging up in the TV room.

OMG, almost every Genesis game had a poster! There's way too many to list. Too bad I tossed all mine. I never thought about them being worth anything.

P.S.: The one for Battlemaster was awesome. I should've kept that one.

I thought Sonic 2 came with a poster.

I've got a poster that was pre-Sonic 2... Came with a football game... Also came with a poster of Joe Montana

Yeah i do recall there was at least two "Sonic 2" posters

The pre-release and the post-release and they had different artwork.

As I am actively collectively Genesis games, I would like to see a thread (abd I may have missed it) on inserts for various Genesis games - i.e., posters, maps, reference cards, playbooks, scorecards, hint guides, flyers, catalogs etc. Has anything like this been done?

Soldiers of Fortune came with a poster, although it's ugly as hell. Why couldn't they have just used the original Bitmap Brothers artwork for that game? I would actually hang that.

I could do that myself and cover more than half of the Genesis releases, but it would take forever and I wouldn't know which games came with posters anymore. I really should've kept all those posters, then I'd know about most of them. I don't know about maps or hint guides and stuff offhand, but I do know there were very few releases that came with some special little extras:

Captain America & The Avengers - came with an enamel Captain America pin
Crue Ball - came with an Alister Fiend sticker
Fighting Masters - came with a set of character cards
Team USA Basketball - came with a 3 piece mini-mural

Those are the only ones that I know of offhand. I don't think there's more.

Where did you find out about them? Is there a site that has more pics and information? I'm a big cat nut, and I'm especially fond of tigers, so I'm very interested in these new animals and how they successfully crossbred them!

Does anyone know if the Genny version of "Gemfire" comes with the map poster like the NES and SNES versions?

Gemfire did indeed come with a map, but I'm not sure if it had a poster.

The Ballistic games also came with a set of trading cards that featured each of their games.

Recent games I grabbed completed with posters were Sonic 3 - which I actually bought factory sealed and it came with a Jurassic Park poster for Genny....X-Men came with an X-Men poster.....and im not sure if its the original..but I just bought a copy of Fatal Labyrinth and that came with a like sega genesis montage poster..it has like a sega rally car and golden axe and some others...I haven't hung mine up yes as I'm trying to save them for when I get a bigger house and have the room.

Phantasy Star II and III, Sonic 2 and Altered Beast all came with a poster too. Shining Force had a Game gear ad poster too. I also have a Batman poster can't remember which game it was packed with again.
Oh right and Shining in the Darkness had the Golden Axe poster too IIRC.
