I love games, but as many of you already know, I don't know that much about them...so always questions:

Here is some questions for you NES gods:

1. What is the best quality Famicom clone that you know, and where can you get it?
2. Do the clones play all Famicom, NES, plus those fake famicom games?
3. Do clone consoles play all regions? NTSC, PAL...any problems with that?

See I'm thinking about getting a famicom clone, I'm going to Poland in few months and you can buy tons of "clone" games there. You can also buy clones of the console such as X-boy , PSZ and all that crap...but those are not good quality

So i guess what im saying is - Im looking for a famicom clone that is actually decent quality , and is region free

any ideas?

I don't know. I hear that those Neo Famicoms are fairly decent and can be found for around 30 to 50 dollars on-line.

2. Do the clones play all Famicom, NES, plus those fake famicom games?

I doubt it, less the system comes with some sort of convertor or something. The pin connectors have more pins on a NES then on a Famicom, or in this case, Fami-clone.

Well like I said in #2 you'd probably need a convertor to get a non japanese game to fit into it. Though I don't see why not. I highy doubt pirates would bother putting in a lock-out chip in a phoney system.

well yeah you need a convertor thingy to play NES because of the pins..but other than that there should be no problems with compatibility of clonegames, real famicom games, and NES games? PAL and NTSC
