The last 3 boxed Spikers that have been on eBay have sold for over $400.

wow.
That bidder also won 2 intellivision auctions from me,
totalling about $55 though.
now I feel kinda ripped off...
I mean, if they were willing to spend $500+ on 1 INTV game...
LOL

That is for a loose cartridge. Altho, I think its worth much more than $85

nah, its gotta be more than $85. The reason why these ebay auctions are going to high couldn't be completely because of the box.. could it?
Is the box really driving up the price $450. Maybe it is, but it seems unlikely.

Boxes are prolly worth 80% of the bid price in alot of auctions.

Throw the cart in the garbage from now on and keep the box :)

Well, considering that Digitpress himself bid $525 on it, it must be worth a pretty good deal!!! I don't think he likes to overpay for items, and he tossed a monster bid on that one.

Holy shit, Joe didn't win an auction that he bid on? @_@

I hope DP Industries doesn't get down on him to hard for not winning. ;)

The box for this one is definitely most of the value. Someone found some bagged carts with manuals awhile back but the box is very rare. It's one of a handful of Intellivision boxes I still need.

Congo Bongo seems to be worth alot less lately.

Spiker or Body Slam loose aren't worth much- maybe $25-$75. That comment about box value is accurate. Although I suspect that this market is very limited. Intellivision collectors aren't as numerous as those for other systems, and there are probably 5 people in the world who will ever pay that much for those last few titles complete, and then when they have their copies, prices will drop quite a bit. Still, they will be very valuable, like in the $100-$200 range, I think.

It underscores that those last (excellent) INTV released titles are among the hardest to find for any system.

I just feel fortunate to have found my Spiker from Radio Shack (who was still carrying this stuff) 6 years ago. I got it and then went to order another, but they had run out.

I still need a Body Slam and a Learning Fun I box if anyone cares.
