Man still hasn't received his item...

A guy e-mails me today and tells me he still hasn't received his package. I mailed it out on March 14th Priority Mail w/ Delivery Confirmation. I go get the receipt and go to the USPS website and enter the tracking number to find:

"We have no record of this transaction"

WTF? I try the other two packages I sent out that day, and they have been received. Should I send him a picture of the receipt?

If you have the delivery confirmation number of a package that you sent on the 14th and it's not showing up as even "sent" on the website. I would definately start by calling 1-800-ASK-USPS.

I had a problem with a Delivery Confirmation number once and they were able to give me information that wasn't on the site. Turns out a package I sent someone was delivered to the wrong person, they gave it back to the P.O. (thankfully) and then they had to deliver it again to the right person. :roll: I guess that's not the kind of information that they have preset into the status notifications of packages. LOL
