Are any planned to be released in Japan? I see there getting 4 new colors, and I am debating picking up the white one, but any LE's? I remember seeing something about a pepsi contest. Anyone know if there are gunna be some Limited edition ones coming out?

of course their are going to be LE releases, every system has them. My local store has the DS for $200 Think I would like any of the colors, but Pink looks really hot, as does the Black. A black DS and Black PSP.
My local store sell LE GBA's and theyre as expensive as the PSP. Kingdom Hearts
Donkey Kong, FFTA, Pikachu, almost every anticipated release theirs gonna be a LE release.

Imagine a LE DS which is exactly liek a Game & Watch! I'm thinking maybe in the same colour scheme as Mario's Cement Factory perhaps?

Purple casing with gold trim! What could be better than that!

No doubt there will be the token Pokemon DS, as well as the *Two tone* coloured ones (Which always look like they had too many bottoms of one colour, and too many tops of another!) LOL

Is there any significant Game and Watch aniversary coming up within the next year or two? (20, 25... 30?) I could deffinately see Nintendo doing something similar with that idea as they did the NES / Family Computer GBA SPs.

No doubt a gold Zelda one will eventually come out as soon as they come up with some sort of Zelda game - And seeing as how teh DS is technically a pocket N64, it wouldn't surprise me if they come up with OOT.

And just because the DS has two screens, it doesn't mean they bot have to be used. Underneath is still a powerful console which can be used to play N64 style games.

I predict a slew of N64 re-releases (Like Mario 64) but with added features.

Banjo Kazooie would be an obvious game to convert, as too is Mario Kart. In fact, virtually any game which uses a map would work well on the DS having the second screen as a constant map.

I just go for vinyl skins myself, protects the system from scratches, looks better, easy to do, cheaper, and I don't have to be one of those sad people who has 3 of the same system just because a cool looking one just came out :)

Right now, the only LE DS announced in Japan is the Pepsi Blue Edition (already mentionned in another thread here):
