This Christmas, the wife got me two videogame packages. One was the Activision Anthology, which I'm getting a ton of play out of. But that's not the subject of this note.

The other package she got me was the Electronic Arts Action Pack for the PSX which contains 007 racing, 007 Tommorrow Never Dies and Medal of Honor. It is this latter game I'm talking about.

now, I'm not a huge fan of first-person shooters, as the constant whirling of perspectives causes me no end of motion sickness. but I popped this (admittedly well-known) game in and was completely blown away with the gameplay, environment, graphics and sound. I really had a feeling of "you are in WWII behind enemy lines." Amazing. I played until 3:30 a.m. and had to start getting ready for work at 5 a.m. And, when I get home, I'm returning to that little French village overrun with Gestapo.

So, here's my question: What game have you recently "discovered" that has been a best-seller for years or one that everyone sings the praises of, but you've never tried until recently?
