At EB: Bass fishing/white VMU package for $7.99. Not bad considering I went in looking for another VMU, which they were selling for $9.99 by itself.

Now can I play the game without the fishing controller, or is it required. I never had any intention of getting this game, but I'm curious and if it's playable without I'll pop it in. Otherwise if I need the controller I'll just throw this in my trade pile.

You can play it without the fishing controller, and I think it's actually much easier that way. The fishing controller is pretty neat for the novelty, or just impressing your non gamer friends if you ever find one cheap.

Today I got Bad Street Brawler, Iron Tank, Rambo (Complete) for the NES for $10 CDN (about $6 USD). Also I got Earthbound (Complete) for the SNES for $10 CDN as well... Pretty good if I say so myself...

I was happy to find Bad Street Brawler because that was the first game that I ever bought for a system.

All in all I did pretty well. I also recieved a boxed Jap GBC in the mail, as well as 2 pirated games. One cartridge was Tarzan, and I could tell by the fishy label it was a pirate. The label leads you to believe it's Disney's Tarzan, when it's totally not. The other cartridge was a 16 in 1. Some pretty interesting stuff was on there like "Pikachu Land", a hack of Super Mario Land with Pikachu as Mario, and Pokemon characters as all the enemies. I thought all that was pretty good for $25. If for some reason you're interested in this stuff though, PM me. Not much to tell but I hit some of the Boxing Week specials here in Canada looking for a cheap Jedi Knight 2 for GC (which I didn't find). I did come away with some DC stuff I've been looking a while for. At Future Shop I picked up new copies of Tony Hawk 2 and Alien Front for $10 each. At a new game store I finally found a reasonably priced Le Mans for DC used at $14. Missed a Razor DC game at EB on clearance for $1.99 the other day because I didn't want to stand in the huge line there but I don't think the game is any good anyway.

Based on what I see on ebay and in the DP Guide, the purchases aren't likely to make me rich, but at least I expect Klax to be a fun game, which is the important thing.

found an INTV version Intellivision for $1.50 along with a pile of boxed (pretty common) Intellivision games also for $1.50 each. I also finally found a copy of Michael Jackson's "Moonwalker" for Genesis. I got a bit gypped at GameCrazy for it... $10 seems a bit high for a dorky novelty game, but I've always wanted it for its kitsch value.

Though this next item isn't an aquisition per se... last night an art gallery showed a couple of my films to a pretty nice sized crowd. We had an LCD projector with a screen soze of some 12 feet across. After the last showing, I busted out the Dreamcast and we played "Samba De Amigo".

So not only was I a featured filmmaker last night, but I was the only one who could pull a "B" rating with those creazy maraca controllers!
