Luckly i have been able to get hold of all three and can say Circle of The Moon is easily my Favourite, followed by Aria Of Sorrow...
To me, Harmony of Disonnance was a bit of a let down really...

1. Circle of the Moon
2. Aria of Sorrow

HofD is OK, but disappointing nonetheless.

Circle of the Moon is excellent and probably the most like Symphony of the Night. It also has the distinction of being the cheapest on ebay, bonus!

I remember back when all that was available was the original GBA, people were poking through their warranty stickers on the back to adjust a contrast pot* with a screwdriver, since the game was so dark.

* Adjusting this pot is NOT suggested for any reason. You'll screw up the screen eventually.

CotM had a rerelease a while back, hence the cheap prices

I know i'm going with the minority vote here but I still think Harmony of Dissonance was the best GBA castlevania. So the music sucked. So what, it was still a good game and the most SOTN like out of the three. Not that the other two games were bad, but Circle of the Moon, like Bratwurst said is too dark and Aria of Sorrow just.. I don't know, it just didn't feel right.

Frankly, all three are great games, and I would go for whichever one you can easily pick up. Aria of sorrow is certainly the most polished game, but I played through all three games and I really enjoyed them.

All three are great, but personally I loved Harmony of Disonnance...but AOS...Yet my all time favorite was Circle of the Moon, still has one of the best soundtracks to a GBA title imho

Castlevania the NES Classic port. :D Why isn't that on the list? :/

I played the heck out of Harmony of Dissonance. Loved every minute of it. The other two I simply didn't find as compelling. Can't explain it really.

I found the darkness of Circle of the Moon somewhat frustrating, yet if you play it on a DS, then I would say get CoM. It is beautiful with the backlit screen. If you are not planning to play it on a DS, I would say Aira of Sorrow. After playing one though you will most likely get all 3. :)

Here are the links to the reviews from my website. Just my way of throwing oil on the fires:

I enjoyed Circle of the Moon, although it's pretty dang hard.
