Being a PAL gamer I'm pretty used to playing RGB quality games but I'm always looking for the next best thing! I have just bought a telly capable of progressive scan and woud llike to try it out with my NTSC 'Cube. However, I have no idea what games support this mode on the 'Cube and I don't really want to buy an expensive lead without knowing what games take advantage of it...
Could someone tell me some games which are worth buying. I am especially interested in the Metroid games and the Resi titles but, in general, I'm up for anything!! :)

Any of the first party Nintendo games will do. Metroid Prime 1 and 2 look great in 480P and so does Resident Evil 4 but RE 1 and Zero don't support the mode unfortunately. Another great title to try is Eternal Darkness which supports everything the Gamecube is capable of in terms of sound and video. Isn't PAL natively progressive though? Well regardless PAL is better than NTSC any day.
Edit: Oh, I almost forgot the GameBoy Player supports the mode too and looks fantastic.

You know, you can actually make a R.G.B. cable for the GameCube too, that would be the best way to play all the non-progressive scan games on the Cube.
In addition to that, with a GameBoy Player and a GameCube R.G.B cable, you can actually play GBA games in R.G.B. on a R.G.B monitor. Of course, the question is, are these GBA games really in true R.G.B. or is it just displaying it on the R.G.B. monitor somehow. I still haven't been able to find a definitive answer on that.
Of course the big downside to getting a R.G.B. cable for the GameCube is the cost. The only way you can make a R.G.B. cable for the GameCube is to sacrifice a component cable to make it.
For example, the guy that I know that makes R.G.B. cables, charges like a extra $40 or something on top of the normal R.G.B. cable charge to make a GameCube one, because he has to butcher a component cable to make it.

That just sounds stupid, why not just buy the RGB cable to begin with they're only $50 USD at the most. This way would be more like $100 and you can by a new cube for that.

As I said in my first post I already have RGB - it's pretty much the standard over here. The biggest reason for the Pro Scan thing for me is that my (new) telly doesn't seem to support PAL60 in RGB - I don't know why. My older and cheaper telly handled it fine...I just want my 'Cube to run at 60 Hz with as sharp a picture as I can get!

Could the powers that be PLEASE get rid of the warm chocolate puddin' filter? It's not funny anymore, and it gets me confused when reading these types of threads.
Thanks.
