I dunno if this was better suited to be in the Donut Shop but technically speaking it is video game related.

Anyhow, Here is an ad from my local friday paper, Sorry if this actually belongs to a memeber here but I found this to be too priceless to leave un-noted. The ad tells the whole story. (see below)

Being that specific will just confuse people who don't know jack about games, but I can't blaim him for running an add, I thought of doing that from time to time, but cash is short. I would run one that said "paying cash for classic and vintage video games, Call Doug, 772-4933". Oh well, he tried. LOL

Heh, 20 bucks for Super Mario RPG...

Isn't that game worth at least 40 by now?

He's probably laughing at us right now as he nets SMRPG and a TG16 for $20.

Dude, you never know. Magical Chase is a very childish looking game to most people. I know of video game stores you could take alot of those games to and they wouldn't even take them let alone give you $20 for them.

I've run an ad in my local paper back home. I came back from college one summer and ran an add that said something to the effect of, "Got old video game junk lying around? Sell it to me!" I managed to build a sizeable base to my collection for less than 100 bucks with that add. Unfortunately, nothing too rare, but I might try it again the next time I go home for a couple of days.

I ran a newspaper add a few years ago. I was asking for genesis game and offering 5 US for each one. Some people called but they didnt want to sell their games for that price....

Umm...you're missing the big one. Magical Chase is an easy triple digit price, if you can find it.

No, he's not. Don't listen to him, and I hereby offer $30 for Bonk 3 or Mgical Chase.

LOL

That ad is classic! I wonder if he has actually got any of the games yet.

I am actually thinking about running an add about video games, but I doubt it would get me anything.

I ran an ad asking people to sell me their old videogames once. I got like 20 calls and e-mails about N64 stuff, a lot of them from kids. It was a free ad with limited space and I also wanted to say I was buying comics, so I couldn't be as specific as I wanted. I would still be running the ad in a modified form, except the free shopper changed their policy and started charging for wanted ads.

i dont see whats wrong with it? its actually a good idea, you never know what games people have lying around. you'd be suprised really, i use to know this HOT chick that had a complete ff3 with strat guide chillin in her closet, and she did'nt know a thing about games. i would love to do this and get a call from some dude with 50 sealed nes games and hear him say "come get this garbage off my hands".
