Nobody else was seggesting, so here we go.
On May 7th, there will be a trade/meet/hangout/whatever at
Pinball Petes
1214 South University
Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104
I figure that is enough time to get your plans free so you can make it out. Everyone is welcome, bring some friends if you'd like. This is a pretty nice arcade, with everything from Golden Axe 2, Joust, Bust-a-Move up to Tekken 5, Time Crisis 3, and DDR Extreme. The 'Get there' time will be 3pm. There are a lot of resturants in the area, so we can go eat wherever. We will also probably do the traditional trek to WizzyWigs, a Japanese culture store with candy, anime, and the assorted videogaming goods.
Hope to see you there!

Hey,
Was actually gonna say somehting about this.
Perkar, My Brother, and a few others are going to Pinbal Petes before we hit up Sparta at The Blind Pig on April 18th. I knwo it falls on a Monday, but, anyone is welcome to come.
Another get together would be cool also. Anyone got any ideas for time/place?

I am interested in getting together with some fellow local gamers. Just state the when and where and I'll be there.
What exactly goes on though? Like what do you guys do? Do you guys sell and trade games, play games, hang out and talk games, all the above...?
Either way I'm down for what ever. I got a couple of friends who are also hardcore gamers and I'll let them know too.

I'm going to have to miss this one - I'm going to Jamaica on May 5th-6th... Won't even be back on time for the 18th.
It's too bad, I hate to miss this event - I really liked going last year. I have a feeling that I'll like my vacation though!
I've put a little announcement in my forum:
http://stageselect.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2085&PN=1&TPN=1
But I'll go ahead and put it on my community calendar anyway. Think I could get on some kind of e-mail list for when you folks want to do this again?

Thats too bad, but I'd much rather be in Jamaica then Pinball Petes.
I suppose a Mailing list of some kind could be set up.
(For the 200th time saying this, the SE michigan area needs some kind of gaming... club, where we hold events atleast every month. If I had the resources to do such a thing, I would.)

I've said dozens of times Robotron holds gaming at his place damn near every friday, all people have to do is show up. it's largely fighting games to be sure, but it's always swung on what the majority of people want to play.

Alright, I'm in, most likely. I'll see if I can talk Lisa into coming along too. Heh.
IF YOU HAVE A DS, BRING IT, GOD DAMN IT. Here's what I have (multiplayer only):
Metroid
Asphalt
Band Bros.
Yoshi Touch and Go
Mario 64
Mr. Driller
Chokkan Hitofude (What's the US title, Polarion?)

I'd be happy to set something up on a regular basis for West Michigan, but don't know who'd go...
1. Me
2. ???
3. Profit
Damn this wasteland!

Yeah, and combine that with the fact that there just aren't many excellent arcades to hang out at. There are a couple Craig's Cruisers locations with a mediocre assortment of games, Lost City, with a very small assortment, and Putter's in Kalamazoo with a few neat things if you're into music games.

Wouldnt it be sweet if we had an official name for our meet? Should relate somehow to gaming and collecting and michigan??? Dunno, just an idea after being up too late.

Pete's Meet '05?
Heh, I suppose we could have a name for it for easy referencing in the future or something.

Cool, try and come out.
Also, should I post this over at AA as well? I know a few people from this board have... 'issues' with certain members over there. I was thinking about just doing it anyways...

The more the merrier, I say. Matt (Tempest) has been there a couple times, along with a few other cohorts. And if worse comes to worse, we can always have a DP vs. AA street showdown outside. Ha ha.

I dont know if any of you past davidbrit would care, but they just got an In The Groove machine to replace the DDRMAX2 in there. Its a bit shoddy, sound is low (someone said the speakers were actually broken) but its still cool.

Wow, I'm surprized that I didnt post that to begin with. I was thinking 3ish, but sooner or later would be cool as well. I'll be the highschooler in the warn out Exitebike shirt, like I wore last time around. Remember to bring your tradeboxes and stuff!

I was there, along with Lisa, and I saw Tempest and Mr. Food Monster, plus a fellow named James, though I can't recall what username he uses. It was a little thin, but all in all a good waste of an evening.

James was TurboGenesis. Not the turnout I was hoping for, but it was fun.

Great time guys. Got to do it again. Guys, ever think about getting together at someones home and playing (and talking) video games?
It was nice to meet some of you guys. Had fun.

I was working it up. That, and my interest in going to Ann Arbor AGAIN was kind of waning. Sure going to the comic store would be nice and all, but there's only so much to be done between it, the arcade, and wizzy wigs.

Would getting together be easier on a sunday instead? I'd prefer that next time.
