Video game character and their sad, sad lives

Today I was playing Metropolismania (a very fun people city sim by Natsume (Harvest Moon), which I highly recommend. It came out like 10-29 and I bought it on the ToysRUs bargain bin last week for $20)
Anyway, I was talking to a policeman and the "filler conversation" he said was something like "my dreams were shattered after I got married"
Isn't it strange what programmers fill in for the text we're all pressing buttons to skim faster?

If Toys R Us online is correct, looks like it's only for PS 2 now. Thanks for the description Choco, I'm gonna go check it out tomorrow.

Now, is it more like Harvest Moon or Sim City? Perhaps a bit of Animal Crossing in the mix?

If i could remember, only a couple of games that i played said the same thing like chocobokick was talking about.
