Xbox Live Starter Kit Question

2 questions

are the xbox live subscription cards in the mech assault 12 month starter packs expired

and, if they are, is it correct that i can call xbox and give them the expired code and get a new code for myself

my year sub. will be over in may and my roommate broke my communicator and is going to give me $$ to buy a new one, so, i figured i would just get this out of date starter kit with mech assualt since i dont have that game

but, if i cant use the year sub. card in it, i wont

It *shouldn't* be expired but call Microsoft's Xbox hotline and ask. When I first dipped my toes into the Live water I got a trial subscription and I bought the Version 1 Live kit. I called Microsoft and asked if the subscription expires and the person said "no". I have a feeling that will be the same situation with that card you have.

well, i didnt have the kit yet, i was gonna order one
but i called and they said that they werent doing that (the person said they never have), so even if they have the chances of it working for me werent great, so instead of wasting $52 after shipping for an older kit, i just spent the $66 and ordered a new kit (so, i will have a copy of crimson skies not for resale edition for sale in 3-9 days)
